STEAM ON THE STAGE

PROJE HAKKINDA

The newest trend in educatıonal theory is someting called "STEAM" . Steam is a response to the changing needs of workforce regarding technology.
An entire reorganization of the way that children are instructed it integrates learning with the real life scenarios ,hands-on engagement and emphasis on giving children the skills they needs to compete on a global workforce stage. Many activities on Steam education will be organized. Steam based activities and lesson plans will be created within the project.

 

HEDEFLER

1. Devoloping creativity,critical thinking,problem solving and collaborative work skills.
2. Creating awareness about Steam career professions.
3. To enable students to make creative syntheses about new business areas.
4. Adopting a multidisciplinary approach to education.
5. Adopting integrated approach instead of traditional educational approach.

 

ÇALIŞMA SÜRECI

1. Teachers will gain 21st century skills to their students
2. Students will create whatever they dream in this project 
3. Teachers will extend the Steam education approach and provide lesson integration
4. Teachers and students will work on the integration of foreign languages
5. Teachers will make a presentation about the importance of the Steam education 
6. Teachers will provide their students to be creative and adoptive problem solvers
7. Teachers will combine lesson activities with coding and art.
8 .Project partners will participate in " STEM DISCOVERY WEEK" and "CODE WEEK"

Our STEAM KIDS will
* question like a scientist
* design like a technologist
* build like an engineer
* create like an artist
* deduce like a mathematian 
-and most importantly- play like a kid
* Teachers and students involved in the project are expected to design , act out and use different Steam activities in their lessons
* Project partner teachers will exhibit their steam activities in their schools.In addition, students will create "Steam Bulletin Board"
* Surveys will be implemented at the beginning and end of the project.
