PROJE HAKKINDA
With the STEAM in SPACE – MISSION to MARS project we will be exchanging ideas and challenges on building robotic structures, programming robotic behaviors by using STEM elements like physics, mathematics and coding with the Lego Mindstorms, S4A, Arduino, or nay other stes with programming platforms. The main theme of the project is robotics and robots that can be use in Mars surface.
Pupils from partner schools working in teams remotely are going to study, practice and test some needed STEM principles, design and develop autonomous robotic vehicles that will be collecting, handling and storing samples from the surface of the Mars. The robots will operate on a specially designed terrain with several Sample Collection points and the robot will handle and store all the Samples.
At the end of the project, we would like to have fair of Robotics at a suitable partner school. If not there will be webinar on eTwinning with the participation of Partners.
● Getting closer to science, engineering, mathematics and technology (STEM), through a concrete experience.
● Learn to communicate and share information.
● Set well defined goals for others to achieve.
● Analyze problem requirements and design solutions (Problem Solving).
● Test possible solutions, modify problem definitions and further improve their solutions
● Demonstration modeled, video recording, presentation and publication on the site
● Know how to perform and apply procedures
● Know how to cooperate and collaborate
● Using web2 tools
DECEMBER; Teams are going to be organized by the partners.
Facebook and whatsapp group will be create for communication and exchanging ideas.
JANUARY; The teams from both partner schools create working groups and get acquainted with each other. The project goes on in stages. The teams going to introduce their school and team members. Competition will be held for project main logo and project posters.
FEBRUARY; The teams going to collect information about Mars Prototypes and why the robots vital in these kind Space Discover Activities
MARCH; All teams work together to design a terrain based on project’s main theme, Simulation of robotic Mars pad.
APRIL; Each team pairs will start collaboration to design a robot that will use in Mars for Collecting Sample Soil, Searching for Water ,Measuring Oxygen.
In many phases of building robots, it is vital to use principles and theories from STEM.
MAY; There will be fair of robotic webinar between participants.
• Robot Designs
• Software Development
• Coding of the Robots
• Simulation and Testing
• Friendship, understanding, cultural awareness
• Advanced communication skills in foreign language
• Advanced ICT and web2 skills.
• Developing student’s skills on STEM. Applying and practicing elements from physics, mathematics, engineering and coding on every stage of project development.
• Furthermore, they will have practiced team work, exchanged ideas and established feelings of respect for their fellow partners.
• Students complete a questionnaire about their feelings and experiences related to the project.
• There will be digital magazine about the results.
